This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary - The Program Director/Instructor will be responsible for maintaining the Pediatric Cardiovascular program to include development of the labs, the curriculum, hiring the faculty, establishing clinical contracts and acquiring and maintaining CAAHEP/JRC-DMSaccreditation. The program director will also be responsible for developing the annual program budget.

Qualifications

All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) academic, oral and written English proficiency requirements. All full time faculty members must demonstrate a willingness and abilities to teach day, evening and/or weekend classes in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit environments.

Required Education - Must have an Associate Degree in Sonography and possess registries in Echo, Pediatric Echo and Vascular.

Preferred Education - Bachelor Degree

Required Experience - Three years work experience and teaching experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Program Director/Instructor will be responsible for maintaining the Pediatric Cardiovascular program to include the development of the labs, the curriculum, hiring the faculty, establishing clinical contracts and acquiring and maintaining CAAHEP/JRC-DMSaccreditation. The Program Director will also be responsible for developing the annual program budget.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of a Pediatric Cardiovascular Program program, acquire and maintain CAAHEP/JRC-DMSaccreditation, teach multiple courses in the discipline, function as a program leader. Must demonstrate the ability to develop curriculum and instruct in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; ability to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses; ability to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; ability to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups; ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity; ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources; and, ability to observe the stated policies and procedures of the College. Must be available to teach evenings and weekends in addition to day time weekly courses/clinical.
