Responsibilities include analysis, equipment selection, application of digital design processes, and integration of interdisciplinary design processes.You will report to the Director, Electrical Engineering and be located at our Rock Hill, SC facility. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at our Rock Hill, SC office.Key Responsibilities:Provide oversite and direction to a distributed team of engineers and technologists primarily based in the United States with potential for international growth.Work with business development professionals to develop offers and oversee the execution of project deliverables.Recruit new talent for long term business needs including interns/co-ops and new hire engineers and technologists.Responsible for resources trained, qualified, and supporting the design and installation of electrical systems and equipment.Identify engineering priorities by assessing determining project objectives, execution time, and implementation costs.Ensure best practices, lessons learned, & improvement are realized in project performance and marginsPrepare and implement training and development plans. Assist in developing next generation of engineers to ensure future WEC bench strength. Support development and mentoring of the team to aid in their technical development, project performance and work satisfaction.Provide management team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.Engage with external customers, partners and WEC senior management.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringMinimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience.Experience managing engineering teams is preferredEffective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical team members.Leadership qualities and abilitiesKnowledge of human resource principles and practicesKnowledge of engineering principles and practicesWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
