About This Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten, fostering a love of learning, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
What You'll Do- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets educational standards and fosters child development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Assess the developmental needs of each child and tailor activities to meet those needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
- Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Good to have: Associated or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Preschool or early childhood setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Good to have: Bilingual abilities
- Experience with diverse learning needs and inclusive teaching practices.
- Additional certifications or training in early childhood education or child development.
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools.
