Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of a modern enterprise data platform. In this role, you'll help design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making across the organization. What You'll Do Help define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the enterprise data platform. Design, develop, and implement scalable data engineering solutions across multiple initiatives. Architect and optimize modern data pipelines, data movement processes, and enterprise data products. Build automated data engineering workflows, monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling. Partner closely with product owners, scrum masters, architects, and business stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver business value. Translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions that generate actionable insights. Collaborate across technology and business teams to prototype, design, and implement modern data architectures. Create and maintain thorough technical documentation to support long‑term sustainability and knowledge sharing. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team. Contribute to Agile planning, technical design discussions, and continuous process improvement. Help foster a collaborative, high‑performing engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous learning. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering enterprise‑scale data engineering solutions. Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Deep expertise with Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies, ideally Qlik Replicate . Strong experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server , with an emphasis on performance optimization. Experience designing modern, high‑volume, low‑latency data architectures and data movement solutions. Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and software engineering best practices. Proven ability to independently own existing systems while continuously improving architecture and reliability. Experience designing and maintaining complex enterprise data models. Working knowledge of data governance principles and best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Preferred Technical Experience Experience with one or more of the following technologies is highly desired: Python SQL Terraform Java Kafka Qlik Replicate SQL Server SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning platforms and technologies Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 remote day per week Available in either Wyoming, MI or Atlanta, GA Why This Opportunity?
