Want to own electrical hardware designs from initial concept all the way through production?

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to design, build, test, and support advanced LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications . This is a highly technical role for an engineer who enjoys being close to the hardware, solving complex design challenges, and seeing their work become a finished product.

You'll serve as a technical subject matter expert while collaborating with mechanical, software, optical, test, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

What You'll Design & Develop

• Design analog and digital circuits for LED lighting products
• Develop LED driver circuits, power conversion, signal conditioning, and control interfaces
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium, Eagle, KiCad, or similar tools
• Take electrical hardware designs from concept through production release
• Select components and develop circuit architectures based on performance, availability, lifecycle, and cost
• Design for signal integrity, thermal performance, EMC/EMI, manufacturability, and reliability
• Apply thermal analysis and thermal management techniques to high-output LED systems
• Build and test prototypes and troubleshoot circuit performance
• Perform failure analysis and resolve electrical hardware issues
• Develop BOMs, work instructions, test strategies, and supporting engineering documentation
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing as designs transition into production
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, optical, test, and manufacturing engineering teams
• Improve existing products through design updates, testing, and technical problem-solving

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of relevant electrical hardware design experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience contributing to electrical designs from concept through production release
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design
• Strong background in PCB/PCBA design and layout
• Experience designing for manufacturability, performance, reliability, and cost
• Strong circuit troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
• Understanding of EMC/EMI considerations and electrical design practices supporting compliance
• Working knowledge of LED technology, LED drivers, power electronics, and thermal management
• Experience selecting and evaluating electronic components
• Ability to work hands-on with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, thermal imaging equipment, and similar lab tools
• Strong analytical, documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

An Associate's degree combined with significant relevant electrical hardware design experience will also be considered.
