We continue to lead because of our world-class, inclusive workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.The Facilities Technician operates and maintains the utilities and building systems at a Carrier manufacturing facility, ensuring their availability and performance. This role supports installation and operational readiness activities across shifts.Key Responsibilities:Performs maintenance of facilities and utilities (electrical distribution, water systems, facility infrastructure, HVAC, compressed air).Diagnoses and repairs faults in facilities systems.Supports the installation and operational readiness of site utilities.Records interventions and utility consumption.Complies with all safety standards (OSHA, LOTO) on interventions.Coordinates with contractors when required.Owns the utility reliability, uptime monitoring and energy consumption trackingSupport facility expansion projects, infrastructure upgrades, and utility system implementation.Strengthen expectations around contractor coordination, permitting, and regulatory compliance.Required Qualifications:Trade School/Technical School/Associates Degree2+ years of facilities or building-systems maintenance experiencePreferred Qualifications:Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical.Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and facility monitoring tools.Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air and general utilities.Ability to diagnose and repair faults in facilities systems and read equipment drawings.Strong safety orientation (OSHA, LOTO) and availability to work rotating shifts.Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods) per role requirements.Experience with facility system testing and validation.Knowledge of energy efficiency.Proficiency with diagnostic tools.Benefits Employees are eligible for benefits, including:Health Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentivesRetirement benefitsTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacationDisability: Short-term and long-term disabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and DismembermentTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending AccountTuition AssistanceThe hourly rate for this position is between $24 - $48 per hour.
