Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Boat Skimmer Operator to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. As a Boat Skimmer Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our waterways. Your expertise will contribute to environmental protection efforts while ensuring efficient operations. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for marine environments, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain boat skimmers to remove debris and pollutants from water bodies.
- Monitor water quality and report any environmental concerns to management.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on skimming equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective skimming strategies.
- Document daily operations and maintain accurate logs of activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience operating boats or similar marine equipment.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and waterway management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid boating license and familiarity with local waterways preferred.
