Production Supervisor

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM-10:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM-6:00 AM)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production employees supporting assembly or machining operations at GM Flint Engine Operations. This position provides day-to-day leadership on the production floor with a focus on meeting established Safety, People, Quality, and Responsiveness targets .

The Production Supervisor will monitor production performance, address operational issues, support employees, and work with technical and administrative teams to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production and operating employees within assembly or machining operations.
• Drive performance against established Safety, People, Quality, and Responsiveness targets.
• Monitor production activities and identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and overall efficiency.
• Review operations and collaborate with technical and administrative personnel to resolve production or processing issues.
• Support and maintain production tracking and quality control systems.
• Analyze production, quality, and maintenance information to identify problems and support corrective actions.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to production employees.
• Address employee concerns and assist in resolving workplace issues and grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel records, and other required documentation.
• Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment supporting production assembly or machining lines.
• Position requires regular interaction with production employees and cross-functional technical and administrative teams.
• Must be available to work either 2nd shift (2:00 PM-10:00 PM) or 3rd shift (10:00 PM-6:00 AM) .
