Heavy Equipment Field TechnicianHiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician in the Construction Equipment industry in Artesia, NM!Salary: $28–$40/hourShift: Full TimeLocation: Artesia, NMDedicated Service Truck ProvidedJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair heavy construction equipment and componentsDevelop repair plans and determine the proper repair sequenceIdentify required parts, materials, tooling, and resourcesPerform repairs safely and accuratelyComplete quality-assurance testing of repaired components, systems, and equipmentComplete service reports, work orders, parts requests, warranty documentation, and tooling records accurately and on timeCommunicate repair status and progress to the direct supervisorRetrieve and return parts and materials through the company's parts-ordering systemRetrieve and return specialty tools through the company's tool roomProperly operate and maintain specialty tools and major shop equipment, including air compressors, cleaning tanks, overhead cranes, and jib cranesProperly use the assigned company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cardImmediately report service-truck or company-vehicle issuesMaintain a clean and safe work area and service vehicleKeep tools and tool carriers safe, organized, and properly updatedFollow all company policies and safety proceduresComplete other duties and projects as assignedEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAssociate Degree or 4 years apprenticeship preferred3–5 years of related experienceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements of heavy-duty construction equipmentUnderstanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions associated with the tradeProficiency with hand and power tools used in heavy equipment maintenance and repairExperience using service equipment such as A/C recyclers, hydraulic jacks, and emissions analyzersAbility to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment-performance issuesStrong written and verbal communication skillsEffective customer-service skillsAbility to work independently in field environmentsStrong professionalism, integrity, and judgmentIf you are interested, please apply
