Georgetown Center on Poverty & Inequality (GCPI) is a research center that generates policy solutions to improve the lives of people experiencing poverty in the United States. Collaborating with government and movement leaders, we provide timely, evidence-based ideas to impact decision-making, increase economic well-being, and advance racial and gender equity.
The Coordinator position enables smooth functioning of the Center, supports the planning and delivery of center initiatives, and assists staff with project and administrative needs. The Coordinator is responsible for a range of administrative tasks and functional areas, including scheduling, financial tracking, meeting and event coordination, and file management.
This position reports to Deputy Executive Director, Aileen Carr. Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and provide support to the Center's research and policy team. This position does not supervise students or staff.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1-2 years of experience providing program support and administrative assistance, and high proficiency with Google Workspace applications. Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment across multiple stakeholders, strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills, self-driven work ethic and initiative, ability to manage a high volume of work with efficiency, strong attention to detail and accuracy required. Ideal candidates will have a talent for managing information, contacts, calendars, booking travel, and meeting and event planning. Working knowledge of Workday and Georgetown Management System (GMS) is a plus.
This position has been designated as Hybrid.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $21.16 - $35.29. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
