Job Summary And Qualifications The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for performing comprehensive patient evaluations of cognitive-communication, swallowing, voice, speech, hearing, and/or language, as ordered by physicians. You will be responsible for all aspects of patient care including evaluation, plan of care, treatments, education of patient/family, communication with physicians, and documentation of patient care. What you will do in this role: You will complete video flouroscopic swallow studies according to policy and procedure in a safe manner You will develop and implement effective treatment programs in consultation with physicians. You will treat patients in accordance with Speech/Language Pathology standards of care and practice. You will perform evaluations such as bedside swallowing evaluations, accurately and communicates results timely to all appropriate members of the healthcare team. You will formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate.
