What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to de-escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents and observations in a clear and timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements is required.
• Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue is required.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
