Operations Director

Ensure consistent management and oversight of WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth regulations. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Work directly with the EDSI Regional Director and Leadership Team, as well as the funder and partners to enhance program services.Essential Functions:Model Servant Leadership by living EDSI’s core valuesEstablish professional working relationships with community organizationsAttend required meetings with local and state representatives regarding job placement and job retention issues and apprise staff of discussions held at these meetingsMaintain accurate participant tracking informationAct as a liaison between the local office and EDSI office in Dearborn, providing documentation when requestedAssist in compiling information into reports for EDSI, Board of Directors, and the State as neededFacilitate weekly staff meetingsConduct internal programmatic monitoring of team to ensure compliance.Give recommendations for hiring and termination of staffWill keep executive level and senior management informed of all activities and any potential issues occurring in the centersSeek training and information on new and innovative programs that could have a positive effect on operationsResearch new approaches and products to provide continuous improvement and market alignment as changes occur with the economyAttend workforce development training opportunities throughout Florida and sometimes outside of the state for topics dealing with workforce programs and issues that could have an impact on programsParticipate in quarterly One-Stop Operator Partner MeetingsConduct coaching with staff on personnel issues and develop corrective action plans as necessaryMaintain compliance with all EDSI and board policies and procedures including personnel policiesReview monthly budgets to monitor expenditures and approve expense reportsCommunicate with EDSI’s Regional Director of Operations about successes and areas of support needed to attain program goalsTravel between offices and to local businesses and partners in the Capital RegionAttend regularly scheduled meetings with all Career Source departmentsOther opportunities as availableEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree, and three years of work experience in case management/human services or related experienceDemonstrated experience managing, directing and coordinating a high-performing team to include professional development and mentorshipExcellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skillsExperience in a team-oriented environment with an ability to work independentlyAbility to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitudeFlorida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required (must be completed within 1 year of employment)Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsValid Driver’s LicenseBring your expertise to EDSI and live our values every day: Show Up, Smile and Support!EDSI is a progressive, forward-thinking, family-owned company that is Certified Evergreen.EDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
