POSITION SUMMARY

Enhances the quality of life for Credit Union members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Provides complex data analysis on several different business and system processes, utilizing an advanced technological skillset to identify issues and provide solutions. Partners with Credit Union departments to communicate and discover how we can further leverage our technological capabilities to capitalize on opportunities for added efficiency and better member experiences. Works closely with management to prioritize and run several different projects, by utilizing various project management tools, providing project status updates, organizing and running project meetings, and coordinating with multiple departments and business units to keep projects moving forward in the most beneficial order for the Credit Union and its members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Complex Data Analysis and Reporting – Provides complex data analysis on a variety of business related data, utilizing an advanced set of technological skills, such as writing complex queries, scripts and other forms of automation, to review, move, and compare data. Provides clear insightful information to Credit Union staff on particular business practices and products. Writes, edits, and publishes both simple and complex reports, utilizing a variety of tools, systems, and programming languages. Provides Credit Union staff with accurate and contextual analysis on reports and data, while communicating that analysis clearly and succinctly.

•Business Analysis – Regularly meets with departments to evaluate new and evolving business needs. Partners with departments and business units to communicate technological capabilities, while jointly working to identify efficiencies and opportunities for process improvement and change to maximize the value the Credit Union receives from our systems and applications. Writes and maintains both functional and procedural documentation on departmental procedure, system processes and automation. Applies deep and comprehensive knowledge of systems, integrations, and processes, to identify and resolve various issues. Effectively communicates complex system related concepts to management, and Credit Union staff, providing clear and accurate information, ultimately empowering senior management to make informed business decisions. Proactively anticipate future problems utilizing extensive knowledge, and problem-solving skills and design and implement solution.

•Application Maintenance and Monitoring – Carefully installs, implements, updates, and configures non-operating system software, coordinating with staff and end users to minimize negative service impacts. Installs and implements code from programmers, into the core banking software. Monitors systems and automation on a daily basis, troubleshooting identified issues, and providing solutions.

•Project Management and Multi-tasking – Works closely with management to coordinate and prioritize a variety of competing interests and projects, ensuring the best possible outcome for the Credit Union and its members. Discuss and develop project plan with key stakeholders. Assemble and lead project team, in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedure. Lead project team, communicating deadlines, requirements, changes, and progress. Provide high level updates to key stakeholders and senior management.

•Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field obtained through a formal 4- year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE: 

5-8 years of Information Systems experience in financial institution preferred. Power-On experience preferred.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

•Thorough knowledge of change management processes.

•Basic understanding of SQL Query writing.

•Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and members both orally and in writing.

•Demonstrate critical thinking and being self-reliant to better analyze and solve problems.

•Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and be agile to serve members and employees.

•Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaborative tools (Teams and Zoom).

•Thorough knowledge and understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies.

•Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
