Assistant Physical Therapist

Acute Rehabilitation Unit Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)In collaboration with, and under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, helps each patient develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working, through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and exercise, outlined in an established care plan.Job Requirements:Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.Experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a degree.Licensure: Current Arkansas PTA license in good standing required.Certifications: Current CPR certification.Other: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mousse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.Work Environment: Patient care setting: outpatient clinic environment.
