Coopers Creek Land & Lawn, LLC is seeking a part-time Equipment Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment running safely, efficiently, and ready for each workday.

Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to maintain dependable operation of company equipment. This role is hands-on and focused on troubleshooting mechanical issues, keeping tools and machinery in excellent working condition, and supporting job site readiness.

Working onsite in Chesapeake, VA, you will help ensure maintenance is completed on time, documentation is accurate, and equipment is maintained according to safe operating practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on company equipment and tools to ensure safe and reliable performance.

• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Clean, lubricate, replace worn components, and verify proper operation following maintenance work.

• Maintain organized records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repair outcomes.

• Follow safety procedures and support a clean, hazard-free work environment.

• Create Maintenance schedule and record.

Required Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance and repairs on small engines, power equipment, or similar machinery.

• Familiarity with standard maintenance practices such as inspections, lubrication, replacing parts, and basic troubleshooting.

• Ability to work safely with tools and equipment, following established safety procedures.

• Willingness to perform job-related physical tasks such as lifting, moving equipment, and working in outdoor or shop environments.

• Dependability and attention to detail to ensure maintenance is completed accurately and on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining equipment used in land, landscaping, or outdoor services.

• Familiarity with routine service scheduling and basic documentation practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes rather than just symptoms.

• Prior experience working in a maintenance role in a fast-paced operational environment.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $28.00
