Senior Quality Engineer

$130,000–$170,000 + Equity + Full Benefits | Hybrid | San Diego, CA

A growing photonics company is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help build and scale its quality function across next-generation optical products for AI, data centre and HPC applications .

This is a hands-on role covering Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality and Supplier Quality . Working closely with engineering, operations, suppliers and external manufacturing partners, you’ll help build and scale the company’s quality infrastructure as it continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead ISO certification and quality management systems
• Drive manufacturing quality, yield and product reliability
• Manage Supplier Quality , audits, qualification and SCARs
• Lead RCA, CAPA and non-conformance investigations
• Develop FMEA, Quality Control Plans and SPC
• Track and improve key quality metrics

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years' Quality Engineering experience in semiconductor, advanced packaging or photonics
• Strong Quality Systems / ISO experience
• Supplier Quality and subcontractor management experience
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5-Why and Gage R&R
• Optical transceiver experience is highly preferreds
