Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Trucking Dispatcher to support our intermodal transportation and logistics operations. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in trucking, dispatch, container tracking, and port operations who are looking to grow into a full dispatcher position.
This is a fully onsite role working in a fast-paced trucking environment coordinating drivers, shipments, and port activity. Must have knowledge in Ports website and scheduling appointments with the ports.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with dispatch operations for daily trucking and container movements
· Perform accurate data entry for loads, shipments, and delivery updates
· Track containers and intermodal shipments from port to final delivery
· Communicate with drivers, freight forwarders, customers, and warehouses
· Coordinate port pickups, container releases, and terminal appointments
· Prepare shipping documents, labels, and barcodes
· Monitor shipment status and resolve delays in real time
· Maintain accurate records in dispatch and logistics systems (Port Pro)
· Close completed loads and assist with billing and documentation
· Provide professional customer service via phone and email
