OCI Database Engineer

Hands‑on experience with OCI/AWS Compute/EC2. Hands‑on experience with VCN/VPC networking. Hands‑on experience with Object Storage/Buckets. Hands‑on experience with DBaaS/RDS. Experience in setup and administration of Linux servers in cloud environments. Expertise in cloud networking concepts, including subnets, security groups (SG/NSG), and ACL/NACL. Experience in managing object storage buckets, VM image imports from VMDK files, custom images, snapshots, and volumes. Strong understanding of virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python or Java. Strong Oracle Database Administration experience (10g and above) on Unix and Windows platforms. Experience with Oracle RAC (11g/12c), Oracle Dataguard, OEM/Grid Control, RMAN backup and recovery, database performance optimization, and server performance tuning. Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and transaction recovery solutions. Experience in database architecture, database object creation, and database lifecycle management. Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration (10g and above) on Unix and Windows platforms. Hands‑on expertise in Oracle RAC (11g/12c), Data Guard, RMAN backup and recovery. Experience with OCI/AWS cloud services (Compute/EC2, VCN/VPC, DBaaS/RDS, Object Storage). Knowledge of database performance tuning, SQL optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience working with OEM/Grid Control and generating performance reports. Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies. Experience managing Linux servers and cloud infrastructure setup. Good-to-Have Experience with automation using scripting (Python/Shell). Knowledge of containerization or cloud orchestration tools. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proactive approach toward automation and continuous improvement. Attention to detail with focus on system reliability, security, and compliance. Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
