Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a patient population including neonates/infants and adults within a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with a 6-bed triage area
• Support and manage vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C procedures
• Maintain a 1:1–2 nurse-to-patient ratio in alignment with unit census expectations
• Document accurately and efficiently using Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
• Participate in weekend shifts (3 per contract), holiday coverage per unit policy, and on-call requirements as assigned
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience working in a high-census, team-based Labor and Delivery environment
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication
