Senior Manager, Corporate Strategic Planning CityScape What You’ll Do This role will oversee the execution of the bank’s strategic planning process through development, progress monitoring and collaboration across management levels to achieve effective execution of the bank’s 3‑year strategic plan. It reports to the leader of Corporate Strategy & Planning under the CFO and supports the bank’s executive leadership team and their sub‑functions, positioning yourself at the intersection of business, finance, technology and industry to manage the development of business and operational strategies for full implementation of the bank’s strategic plan. Lead the development and execution of the annual enterprise‑wide strategic plan, working alongside senior management to align business initiatives with the overall growth strategy and safety and soundness of the bank. Support the executive leadership team in determining corporate priorities and enterprise initiatives by developing line‑of‑business strategic plans with business leaders and strategy partners while identifying recurring issues to mitigate enterprise risks. Lead the intake, alignment and prioritization evaluation of business and corporate support initiatives gathered from the strategic planning process that provide enterprise‑level impact, business growth and shareholder value. Evaluate implications of operating environment and competitive landscape factors, understand key economic, industry, product and bank trends, and facilitate internal discussions with senior executives to align corporate strategy with functional areas. Partner with business and technology leaders to identify, evaluate and research emerging opportunities that can materially impact the banking industry, accelerate growth and drive efficiency gains. Oversee strategic plan integration through enterprise processes to enhance interconnectivity of strategic planning with the annual budget process, operational planning, capital planning, risk appetite and technology investment committees. Support the implementation and management of the bank’s KPI methodology, working cross‑functionally with executive stakeholders to ensure buy‑in of execution. Support executive quarterly business review meetings to ensure alignment of business initiatives, KPIs, KRIs and financial budgets with the strategic plan’s growth objectives and financial targets. Travel 10‑15% to attend off‑site executive planning sessions and industry conferences to gather insights. What You’ll Need Advanced knowledge of the banking sector and financial services, including an understanding of bank products, services, regulations, policies and procedures, with emphasis on deposit markets, commercial & industrial lending, commercial real estate and niche markets. Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university is required; MBA preferred. At least 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise strategic planning through an internal strategy or planning team, or through a management or strategy consulting firm, or within the financial services industry. Expert at managing business, risk, finance and technology stakeholder expectations using strategic or business planning prioritization metrics, analyzing bank investments and budgets to achieve corporate strategy. Expert at advising enterprise‑level planning, transformation efforts and initiatives, creating and presenting executive and board‑level presentations while managing ambiguity throughout the creative process. Expert with regulatory regulations and Enhanced Guidelines for Planning (Strategic, Operational & Technology). Entrepreneurial and proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions, leveraging strong business acumen and analytical problem‑solving skills to inform decision‑making for senior leaders. Compensation Salary range for new hires is generally $182,325.00 – $225,000.00 for San Francisco, CA; $182,325.00 – $225,000.00 for New York, NY; and $169,400.00 – $209,000.00 for Chicago, IL. Salary is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus, incentives and restricted stock.
