Duties

Help

• Manages the primary and sub-hand receipts for all property assigned to the Headquarters.
• Conducts inventories and other tasks associated with property accountability including life cycle
  replacement, distribution, and disposal of army equipment.
• Appointed as a purchasing officer for the command, to purchase supplies and services using the
  Government Purchase Card (GPC).
• Serves as the primary POC with all staff sections, for matters related to the Financial Liability
  Investigation Property Loss(FLIPL).

• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• TDY travel is occasionally required.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health an ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position requires the incumbent to carry and lift up to 60 pounds. Are you willing to carry and lift up 60 pounds.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of automated supply system, policies and work methods to accomplish actions; 2) Applying knowledge of the procedures for processing the various supply transactions to include special handling and the flow of work through the supply process; and 3) Applying knowledge of supply functions to include receipt, handling, storage, issue, control, maintenance, inventory, security and other technical supply functions including terminology associated with the items of equipment utilized by the unit. 4) Utilizing supply automated systems, such as Government Purchase Card (GPC) to order and track supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
