Human Resources Business Partner

Overview Reporting to the Senior Human Resource Business Partner, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is both a strategic and hands‑on role that provides full‑cycle Human Resources support to our Jackson plant. This role is critical in executing people initiatives, providing excellent internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HRBP will manage all HR activities at the facility and provide guidance to Operations leadership. Responsibilities include employee relations, regulatory compliance, performance management, talent management, staffing, succession planning, communications, policies, payroll, compensation and benefits administration. The HRBP partners with plant leadership to deliver a high‑performance culture, promote ownership, goal attainment, associate leadership and continuous learning at all levels. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct and perform Recruiting/Placement activities for assigned functional areas, including developing interview schedules, staffing advertisement development/placement, and coordinating with Employment Agencies to attract qualified applicants at all levels. Monitor employee engagement to ensure a high level of involvement. Partner with the Plant Manager and local staff to develop and implement programs that drive engagement and retention. Facilitate, inspire, lead and support the leadership team to evaluate programs, processes and policies that embody our Behavior & Values. Align organizational structure with strategic objectives. Track and report on HR metrics as required. Deliver facility communication strategy, including meetings, focus groups, 1X1s and surveys that drive engagement across the organization. Demonstrate change leadership by effectively managing and communicating change, mitigating barriers. Build the organization’s capabilities by identifying talent needs and assisting managers with developing next‑generation leaders. Monitor wage/salary administration to ensure attraction, retention and motivation of qualified employees while maintaining compliance. Act as a credible advocate for all facility employees and ensure alignment around business results. Assess employee engagement and culture, and design strategies to close gaps. Innovate and integrate HR practices around critical business needs, minimizing disruption to manufacturing. Apply corporate and local HR procedures, practices and initiatives in compliance with all laws. Facilitate selection, hiring, orientation and onboarding processes. Manage plant leave of absence processes, including FMLA, STD, LTD and personal leave. Lead yearly labor cost planning and monthly follow‑up for the plant in cooperation with global Business Unit and regional functions. Serve as local reference for senior workforce compensation and international mobility. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Stellar internal and external customer service focus. Ability to create and drive effective employee relations, retention and reward programs. Results- and metrics-driven mindset suitable for a high-performance manufacturing environment. Understanding of organizational strategy while advancing operational goals, applying business principles. Lead complex change and transformation efforts, manage multiple tasks with detail orientation. Trusted advisor capable of coaching, mentoring and guiding associates. Create HR solutions that generate bottom‑line results. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, principles and practices related to employee conduct and dispute resolution. Experience with planning and executing the administrative side of HR and data‑management software. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Qualifications BS/BA degree in Human Resource Management or related field. PHR or SPHR preferred. 4+ years Human Resource business partner experience and/or progressive HR experience. Ability to work in a team-based environment, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams. Proven success in talent management and building competencies at all levels of the facility. Working knowledge of federal employment and labor laws and experience developing core HR policies. Work Environment General manufacturing and office. PPE: Ear Plugs, gloves, safety glasses, safety toe shoes.
