• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures while providing clear explanations at every juncture
• Work in tandem with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of superior diagnostic images
• Expertly operate and maintain imaging machinery, flagging any issues for quick resolution
• Document all procedures accurately and manage patient information within an electronic medical record system
• Stay informed about new techniques and advancements in ultrasound imaging

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or an equivalent field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current registration by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a similar body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a nice addition

Skills Needed
