Regular Full-Time Mooresville, NC, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1471 Role and Responsibilities The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general accounting support tasks within the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will be organized and perform all duties with a high attention to detail while following company procedures. This position requires a satisfactory background and credit check. Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc. Respond timely and appropriately with Vendors, Customers, and Internal Departments. Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Update invoices and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions. Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current. Prepare checks, electronic payments, and deposits. Assist accounting staff with any tasks conducted within the Accounting Department. Qualifications and Education Requirements Preferred - 2 Year Associate Degree in Accounting. Will consider experience in lieu of associate degree. Preferred Skills General understanding of accounting principles. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
