Job Summary:
Seeking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work on cloud development, design, integration, and support of infrastructure services. Collaborate with experts to create solutions that exceed application requirements. Provide operational support, fulfill requests, and manage cloud-related issues. Work in a hybrid operating system environment and team up with technology providers and internal teams.
Core Work Activities:
- Provide technical leadership and direction for solution delivery services.
- Offer technical expertise for successful project implementations.
- Analyze current environments and propose solutions.
- Generate reports on performance, capacity, and SLA management.
- Lead Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis efforts.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and operations.
- Develop implementation and test plans for projects.
- Manage and maintain technology products to improve the cloud environment.
- Create and enhance policies, procedures, and training for team members.
- Maintain Runbooks and Knowledge Base articles.
- Ensure SLA is met for cloud services.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers for deployment activities.
- Manage Service Providers for continuous service improvement.
Education and Experience Required:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience/certification.
- 7 years of experience in enterprise system operations, design, implementation, or support.
- 5 years of experience with computer hardware and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware).
- 5 years of experience with converged or hyper-converged ecosystems.
Preferred:
- Experience in Agile Methodologies and DevOps.
- Knowledge of cloud-native database technologies (Amazon RDS, Azure CosmosDB).
- Experience with Public Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure), Operating Systems (Red Hat, Oracle Linux), and Storage Solutions.
- Understanding of Security, Compliance, and Data Protection best practices.
- Project planning and management experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and create constructive relationships.
- Excellent technical knowledge of current and emerging infrastructure systems.
