Position: Senior Security Engineer – Application Security Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite Per Week) About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Security Engineer – Application Securit y to join a growing Information Security team responsible for securing applications, cloud infrastructure, internal systems, and sensitive customer data. This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across Application Security, Product Security, Cloud Security, Security Engineering, and Complianc e. The successful candidate will partner closely with engineering and product teams to build and scale security practices, strengthen secure development processes, and help shape the organization's security strategy. This position offers a competitive base salary, bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and strong long-term growth opportunitie s What You'll D Lead application security initiatives across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDL Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure design assessments Partner with engineering teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and development workflow Perform application security reviews, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation guidance Design, implement, and monitor cloud security controls across modern cloud environmen Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and best practic Support vulnerability management, incident response, and security monitoring activiti Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled applications and AI-assisted development workflows Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, infrastructure, compliance, and leadership teams to improve overall security posture Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Product Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or Security Engineer Strong understanding of secure software development practices and secure coding princip Experience conducting threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure design assessme Experience securing cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Experience implementing security controls within CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering environments Experience with security testing methodologies and tools, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability management platforms Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar regulated environments Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience securing healthcare, health-tech, fintech, or other highly regulated environm Experience working in cloud-native SaaS organizatFamiliarity with AI/LLM security risks and AI-enabled application security rev Experience with security automation, DevSecOps, and cloud-native security too Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GWAPT, GCSA, AWS Security Specialty, or similar Why Consider This Opportunity High-impact role with broad ownership across multiple security do Opportunity to influence security architecture and security str Work with modern cloud technologies and emerging AI security initiatives Collaborative engineering culture with strong executive visibility Competitive compensation and long-term growth potential Additional Information Competitive base salary, bonus, and benefits package Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role #J-18808-Ljbffr
