NP/PA - General Surgery opening Augusta, ME Job Summary: Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Job Description: Excited to invite a talented and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our growing team, playing an integral role in our General Surgery service line. As an APP in our General Surgery department, you will have the unique opportunity to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will be diverse, ranging from working in our outpatient clinic, performing outpatient procedures, consults, and follow-ups, to post-operative appointments, inpatient rounding, discharging, and first assisting in the operating room. This is a full-time position with a manageable 1:5 call schedule and weekend inpatient rounding, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and pursue your passions outside of the workplace. We do offer the option of working either 5 eight hour shifts or 4 ten hour shifts per week to fit your lifestyle and schedule. There is an opportunity to volunteer for more call for further reimbursement.
