Full Day Preschool Classroom Aide Rockwood R-6 School District, Eureka High School – Eureka, Missouri Job Details Position: Full Day Preschool Classroom Aide Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Starting Date: Immediately Pay: $16.64 per hour (Part-Time) Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in providing a safe and caring environment that nurtures children’s curiosity and learning, builds a foundation for elementary school according to each child’s ability, and establishes good relationships with parents and staff. Location: Rockwood Summit High School – Full Day Preschool ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist in implementing a program that maintains the preschool philosophy and curriculum Relate, communicate with, and interact with children with patience and compassion Interact effectively with staff and families in the program Complete 12 hours of in-service training each year Maintain CPR and First Aid certification Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality concerning students Perform any other duties as assigned ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Provide an encouraging, caring, and safe environment for children Assist the teacher by setting up activities, preparing instructional materials, and documenting student progress Assist students with physical tasks such as positioning, feeding, toileting, diapering, and self-help skills Assist with individual and small student groups Show responsibility, respect, confidentiality, patience, and compassion with young children Assume responsibilities of the Teacher/Teacher Assistant when absent Communicate clearly and effectively Identify when situations or information should be brought to the supervisor’s attention Learn and implement preschool curricular strategies Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds Supervise and interact with children at their level (bending, stooping, lifting, sitting on the floor) across settings (classroom, playground, gym, lunch, crisis management) Work in a variety of locations and travel throughout the building(s) including playgrounds, lunch rooms, and hallways BASIC REQUIREMENTS High-school graduate required; college credit hours preferred Experience working with children in a similar setting preferred Consistent and regular attendance required EQUIPMENT USED Standard office equipment WORK ENVIRONMENT Within assigned building(s) and classroom(s) Job Requirements Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Contact Information Daniel Scheer, Preschool Supervisor Early Childhood – Vandover Phone: View phone number on click.appcast.io Email: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Young World Physical Education
