Senior Mechatronics Reliability Technician

Core Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve mechatronic issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation domains—quickly and safely.
• Design and continuously refine PM/PdM strategies, schedules, and SOPs to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Leverage the CMMS for PM execution, corrective work orders, asset history, spare parts, and traceable documentation.
• Diagnose controls and power systems: PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, switches, relays, and industrial voltages (120/208/240/480 VAC).
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement engineered, permanent corrective actions.
• Participate in and sometimes lead equipment upgrades—designing, fabricating, installing, and commissioning improvements.
• Use welding, machining, and fabrication skills to build fixtures and enhancements that improve safety, quality, and throughput.
• Advance condition-based maintenance by integrating performance monitoring and emerging tools/technologies.
• Drive OEE improvements through data-driven maintenance and continuous improvement practices.
• Own shop standards: 5S-level cleanliness, organization, and critical spares management.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and Engineering; maintain excellence in LOTO, documentation, and workmanship while engaging in ongoing technical and safety training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strength in both industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with high-speed automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, and material-handling systems.
• Competence in pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, compressed air and filtration systems.
• Expertise with diagnostic tools; able to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals.
• Track record with PM/PdM programs, CMMS usage, equipment performance monitoring, and accurate maintenance records.
• Hands-on proficiency in welding, metal fabrication, machining, CNC, and basic fixture/equipment design; capability to execute thoughtful machine mods.
• Nice to have: maintenance experience with forklifts and other mobile industrial equipment.
• Creative, resourceful, highly organized; comfortable setting priorities in a fast-moving production environment.
• PC skills (Microsoft Office, maintenance software); bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus.
