NURSE PRACTITIONER

Nurse Practitioner - Fort Myers, FLHorizon Health Corporation is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program in Fort Myers, FL. This unit is a 6 to 15 beds mental health program. Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide clinical services to the behavioral health program and is primarily responsible for diagnosing and treating patients; and providing continuing education to patients and their families according to approved protocols. The NP will assess the patients by examining medical history, physical exams and behavioral health evaluations; and ordering or performing diagnostic tests, and within the bounds of scope of practice as delineated by both federal and state regulations/guidelines.Responsibilities:Complete patient diagnoses, treatment, education and referrals in accordance with Hospital policiesPerform treatment planning and interventionMedication orders and reconciliationWork with the treatment team in admitting and discharging patients to and from the ProgramConduct physical exams of the patient during admission and attend to basic medical needs/issues; work with hospital specialists to manage more complicated medical conditionsPerform admission work-ups within twenty-four (24) hours of admissions and provide appropriate documentation as may be defined by Hospital policiesConduct rounds on patientsPerform as part of the treatment team in planning, coordinating and implementing nursing care activities for patientsEnsure optimal patient careAssist Program leadership in assessing, creating and implementing advanced practice provider procedures, or ensuring existing procedures meet federal and state regulations and guidelines for Nurse Practitioner scope of practicePerforms other duties as assigned/required by this positionBenefit Highlights for full-time positions:Competitive CompensationExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Plan401(K) with company match and discounted stock planLong and Short-term DisabilityFlexible Spending Accounts; Healthcare Savings AccountLife InsuranceCareer development opportunities within the companyTuition AssistanceRewarding work environment – Enjoy going to work every day!About Fort Myers, FLFort Myers, Florida offers an exceptional blend of affordability, and vibrant coastal lifestyle.
