Where You Come In

Our patients often come to us when dentistry becomes more complicated.

They may need periodontal surgery, dental implants, tooth extractions, bone or tissue grafting, or treatment for advanced periodontal disease. Understandably, many are nervous.

Your job is to help make a complicated experience feel comfortable, organized, and predictable.

You'll work directly alongside Dr. Antoine and our clinical team , assisting with surgical procedures, supporting patient exams, and helping ensure our clinical day runs smoothly.

If you enjoy dentistry and want to develop skills beyond routine dental assisting, this position offers the opportunity to learn and participate in advanced periodontal and implant care.

What Your Day Will Look Like

You'll begin each morning prepared for the day ahead and participate in our morning huddle.

Mornings are primarily surgical. You'll work directly with the doctor assisting with periodontal, implant, extraction, and other surgical procedures.

Afternoons are typically focused on patient care and examinations. You'll assist with new-patient exams, post-operative visits, clinical documentation, and coordination with the rest of the team.

Throughout the day, you'll help keep our clinical operation organized, efficient, and ready for whatever comes next.

Your Responsibilities

As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will:

• Attend morning huddle prepared for the day's patients and procedures
• Assist the doctor with periodontal and implant surgeries
• Assist with new-patient examinations
• Prepare surgical rooms, patient surgical tubs, and procedure whiteboards
• Set up and break down treatment rooms
• Maintain proper sterilization flow and infection-control protocols
• Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize instruments
• Assist our hygienist with periodontal charting when needed
• Help turn over hygiene and surgical rooms efficiently
• Document surgical procedures and patient visits using our AI-assisted note-taking software
• Assist with post-operative appointments, including suture removal when appropriate
• Enter prescriptions and assist with required prescription-monitoring workflows
• Maintain stocked and organized treatment rooms
• Assist with supply inventory and ordering when needed
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with the doctor, clinical team, and administrative team
• Help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their appointments
• Pitch in with general office organization and cleanliness when needed

No task is "someone else's job" when it affects our patients or our team. We expect everyone—including the doctor—to help where needed.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of dental assisting but wants to continue learning.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 1–3 years of dental experience
• Surgical assisting experience preferred, but not required
• Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
• Comfort with blood, extractions, sutures, and dental surgery
• Good computer skills and efficient typing ability
• Strong attention to detail
• A friendly, professional personality
• Clear communication skills
• The ability to stay organized in a busy clinical environment

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is coachable .

You don't need to know everything when you walk through the door. You do need to be willing to ask questions, accept constructive feedback, learn from experienced team members, and continually improve.
