Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist (PLC Troubleshooting)

Mural Group is partnering with a wire manufacturer to keep a high-volume production line running at peak performance. If you thrive when the stakes are high and uptime matters, you’ll feel right at home on this team.

The third shift is humming when a sensor fault halts a line. You move quickly—meter in hand—to isolate the issue, verify power, trace I/O, and work through PLC-level diagnostics (no programming needed). You align a motor, swap a drive, and bring the system back to life. Before the handoff to the next crew, you log your work, flag a preventive task for a suspect bearing, and tidy the area so the next start-up is smooth.

• Hire Type: Full-Time
• Shift: 3rd shift
• Pay Range: $36 – $38 per hour

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on production machinery
• Troubleshoot control systems and PLC-driven equipment down to the component level (no programming required)
• Execute preventive maintenance to cut downtime and boost reliability
• Service motors, VFDs/drives, sensors, and related controls components
• Fabricate or modify parts using shop tools when needed
• Document work performed and communicate findings across shifts
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven, strong electrical troubleshooting ability (required)
• Working knowledge of PLCs (no programming access), motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Mechanical aptitude for bearings, alignment, and general repairs
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Comfort working independently during the night shift

• Forklift experience
• Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking
• A problem-solver’s mindset—able to diagnose root causes, not just swap parts
