Medical AssistantWe are seeking an organized, compassionate, and dependable full-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is primarily based in Woodbridge, CT, with the potential for cross coverage in West Haven, CT. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced medical practice.Clinical / Back Office Responsibilities:Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and proceduresObtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information in the EMRAdminister injections, perform basic laboratory tests, and collect specimens (as permitted by certification)Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organizedSupport care coordination and assist with follow-up instructions for patientsAdministrative / Front Office Responsibilities:Greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and welcoming mannerSchedule appointments, verify insurance information, and respond to patient inquiriesMaintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA and privacy complianceAssist with billing support, prior authorizations, and documentation requests as neededCompensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay of $21–$24/hour, based on experience plus benefits packageRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferredPrevious medical office or clinical experience strongly preferredExperience with EMR systems preferredStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsProfessional, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional patient careECW or Athena experience is a plus
