Key Responsibilities As an LCSW at Asia Medic, your primary duties will include but are not limited to: Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand clients' unique challenges and mental health histories, leading to the development of individualized treatment plans. Providing psychotherapy using evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting approaches to fit the needs of each client. Maintaining precise and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices, ensuring confidentiality and proper patient care. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care. Participating in ongoing case consultations and peer review meetings to share insights and improve treatment strategies, fostering a learning environment. Supporting clients’ families by providing education about mental health concerns, treatment options, and available community resources, ensuring they are informed partners in the care process. Engaging in continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest mental health research and integrating new techniques into your practice. Patient Population / Client Focus This role will focus primarily on individuals seeking detoxification from substances, along with those experiencing co-occurring mental health issues. You will work with a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and experiences, providing you with the opportunity to apply your clinical skills broadly while promoting recovery and resilience. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. A minimum of two years of clinical practice experience, specifically in delivering psychotherapy services to diverse populations, preferably in substance abuse or mental health settings. Demonstrated proficiency in employing solution-focused psychotherapy techniques. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective relationships with clients and colleagues. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities to assess patient needs and adjust treatment modalities as required. Adept at functioning effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Experience Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote client engagement tools. Experience working in detox centers or similar clinical settings. Specialized training or certifications in relevant therapeutic approaches.
