Third Shift Operator

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an experienced full-time Third shift Operator for our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform operations necessary to manufacture powdered metal parts.
• Within a team environment, efficiently and safely operate equipment and perform other functions to maximize equipment utilization, quality, and team harmony.
• Accurately observe, measure, and record the product/process necessary to ensure product quality.
• Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
• Provide accurate documentation of production operations.
• Received and moved material to efficiently maintain production.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
• Effectively communicate job-related information.
• Perform operations necessary to visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects.
• Accurately visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects using the necessary tools.
• Effectively communicate job-related information.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Accurately observe, measure, record, and move parts to ensure product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
• Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Must be able to write sufficiently to document the process.
• Able to write legible sentences.
• Use and understand appropriate computer functions.
• Knowledgeable of basic P / M processes and equipment.
• Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regard to communications, cooperative associations, and participation in continuous improvement.
• Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.
• Exhibit positive team behaviors.

Secondary Operator may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
