Analyst/Associate: Equity Research - Telecommunication, Comm Infrastructure and Comm Software

Overview The Telecommunications Services, Communications Infrastructure and Communications Software team works with 23 listed companies across large‑cap telecommunications, AI, wireless infrastructure, and emerging communications software. The role involves vetting private companies for potential IPOs, requiring intellectual curiosity, strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, and expertise in telecommunications/technology research. Key Responsibilities Work alongside Senior and Junior Analysts on idea generation, company meetings, and client interactions. Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work. Write industry and company reports, including launch initiatives from scratch. Develop and maintain research databases. Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment. Help develop key industry themes and support Senior Analysts. Build relationships with contacts at covered companies and share insights with analysts. Participate in client meetings and events; attend key opinion leader meetings. Track market, industry, and company activity and relay findings. Seek out new, value‑added information sources and leverage a robust network. Interact regularly with clients and support day‑to‑day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs. Lead or support preparation of complex financial models and written reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, or accounting. Minimum 2years of experience in investment banking and/or research (equity or credit). Strong writing, spreadsheet, and MSWord/Excel skills; expert at MSExcel. Proficiency in financial modeling and understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, regulatory and emerging technology trends. Excellent attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong work ethic. Shift & Hours 1st shift (United States of America). 40 hours per week. Location United States – New York, New York – ONE BRYANT PARK – BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100). Compensation & Benefits Annualized salary: $70,000–$175,000 (based on experience, education and skill set). Eligible for discretionary incentive and annual discretionary awards.
