- Perform thorough patient evaluations, order essential diagnostic procedures, and develop tailored care strategies
- Identify and manage acute, episodic, and chronic conditions in collaboration with other healthcare professionals or independently (depending on your credentials)
- Educate patients and their families about preventive measures, wellness, and health management
- Prescribe necessary medications and therapeutic interventions aligned with your scope of practice
- Engage in ongoing patient follow-ups and chronic care initiatives
- Work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, comprehensive patient care
- Accurately document patient interactions in electronic medical record systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Hawaii
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
