Research Study Technician- Animal Operations

Labcorp seeks a Research Study Technician in Madison, Wisconsin to support early-stage drug development through animal research. The role involves handling animals, administering test compounds, collecting biological samples, and maintaining detailed study records while ensuring compliance with laboratory and animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle, restrain, and provide husbandry care for small and large animals
• Perform dosing techniques and administer test compounds to research animals
• Collect biological samples and conduct clinical observations
• Record and organize study data in compliance with GLP regulations and SOPs
• Maintain animal care and welfare standards per AAALAC guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Science (Biology, Zoology, Animal Science, or related field)
• OR Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology/Veterinary Technology plus 6+ months regulated lab experience
• 6+ months direct animal care experience in research or farming operation (preferred)
• AALAS Certification (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail and protocol adherence
• Ability to work independently and in team settings

Compensation: $23/hour, with $0.50 increase after training period based on performance
