We are seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to ensure that every referral is processed and reviewed in a timely manner and that every admission is accomplished by providing a smooth transition from the hospital, community, or other settings. The Admissions Coordinator serves as the communication link between departments, ensuring a seamless process for each referral and admission.

Admissions Coordinator Requirements:

• Experience in healthcare, human services, marketing, census development, and the admissions process
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team setting with a positive and enthusiastic approach to tasks
• Professional grooming, manners, and conduct
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email

As an Admissions Coordinator, you will:

• Assist with client inquiries and admissions procedures
• Organize and input information into databases
• Follow the facility’s admission process
• Verify primary and secondary payer sources
• If Medicare , verify the number of days available (HIQA and prior SNF)
• If PA/Pending , notify the business office regarding the application status
• Verify payment status on all new admissions
• Enter all face sheet information into the system , referring incomplete information to social services and bookkeeping for follow-up
