Ultrasound Technologist IIWe are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II, also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Ultrasound Tech II. The Ultrasound Tech II performs advanced ultrasound services and diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. Ultrasound Technologists play a critical role in the diagnostic process by providing high-quality ultrasound images that assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing more complex patient cases and providing specialized care to patients with unique medical needs or conditions, this could involve collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop tailored imaging plans and treatment strategiesOperate ultrasound machines to produce real-time images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow, select appropriate imaging techniques and settings to capture clear and accurate images based on the specific clinical indication or area of interestInterpret ultrasound images in real-time to assess the structure, size, shape, and function of organs and tissues within the body, identify any abnormalities, lesions, or pathology that may be present and communicate findings to radiologists or referring physiciansProficient in using advanced imaging techniques and technologies, such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, or ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, aspirations, injections, thoracentesis, and paracentesis procedures)Perform a wider range of ultrasound examinations, including more complex or specialized imaging studies, this could involve imaging of specific organs or systems, such as obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, abdominal, cardiac, or musculoskeletal ultrasoundQualificationsRVT(ARDMS), RVS (CCI) or VS (ARRT) certification required within 90 days of hire and maintain.In addition requires additional certification from ARDMS in Abdomen, Breast or /OB-GYNGraduate an accredited vascular ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hireCurrent BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain currentProficient computer skillsCurrent experience preferredHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsFull benefits at Prime Healthcare: StatusPart Time < 60ShiftDaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
