Our kitchen leaders are:

• Experts in engaging team members, setting goals, providing excellent customer service, and helping to fulfill the purpose of Chick-fil-A Champaign: "to create and spread joy in the lives of every person we serve"
• Working one-on-one with a senior leader to help develop their leadership skills and grow the business
• Wanting to take on more responsibilities in a business and learn about restaurant management
• Responsible for opening or closing the restaurant
• In the restaurant 30-40 hours a week, with great benefits and constant leadership development

Duties and responsibilities:

• Create a 5/5 dining experience for all our customers
• Set an example in quality, speed, and food procedures
• Communicate violations of performance and employee policies and procedures to the management team
• Work with the management team to ensure adequate daily and restaurant staffing levels
• Must be an excellent trainer, communicator, and team builder
• Achieve strategic and annual business results through focus and action on monthly and quarterly objectives and tactical tasks
• Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with respect, providing guidance and feedback
• Act as a subject matter expert for all tasks (or know who to ask to answer questions)
• Responsible for inventory and facility management
• Complete understanding of each key position in the front and/or back of the house
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which includes but is not limited to standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds
