Finance Transformation Manager/Director

Overview UHY Consulting is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager or Director to join our growing team in Atlanta. This role will lead and deliver finance transformation initiatives for clients across multiple industries, with a focus on shared services, close optimization, and core accounting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong consulting experience, deep finance expertise, and a passion for improving how finance organizations operate. Key Responsibilities Lead finance transformation engagements from strategy through execution Assess current-state finance and accounting operations and identify improvement opportunities Design and implement shared services models and operating structures Drive month-end close optimization initiatives, including process redesign and automation Improve core accounting processes, controls, and reporting capabilities Partner with client stakeholders (CFOs, Controllers, Finance Leaders) to align transformation initiatives with business goals Manage project teams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high-quality client outcomes Support business development efforts, including proposals and client presentations Mentor and develop junior team members Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5–10+ years (Manager) or 10–15+ years (Senior Manager) of relevant experience Prior consulting experience strongly preferred Deep expertise in: Finance and Accounting Operations Shared services design and implementation Month-end close and record-to-report processes Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar a plus) Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills What Sets You Apart Ability to translate strategy into actionable execution Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering measurable value A collaborative mindset aligned with an “everyone sells” culture Passion for mentoring others and contributing to firm growth Why UHY Consulting Opportunity to lead high-impact transformation initiatives Clear path for career growth and leadership Exposure to diverse clients and industries Ability to shape and grow a key service offering Who We Are UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms providing audit, tax, consulting and advisory services to clients primarily in the dynamic middle market.
