Position Summary
The Licensed Cosmetologist Independent Contractor provides professional spa and salon services to guests of The Spa at Mountain Lake as an independently contracted service provider. The contractor is responsible for delivering luxury-level guest experiences while maintaining all required licenses, insurance, certifications, and professional standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide professional hair care services including styling, coloring, cutting, and treatments.
· Perform nail services including manicures and pedicures.
· Provide skincare and facial services.
· Offer makeup services for weddings and special events.
· Perform waxing and approved hair removal services.
· Provide eyelash services within scope of licensure.
· Maintain all sanitation and safety standards required by Virginia law.
· Supply approved professional tools and specialty products as required.
· Maintain professional liability insurance and licensing.
· Coordinate scheduling with spa leadership.
· Support guest satisfaction and luxury resort service standards.
Independent Contractor Requirements
· Must maintain active Virginia Cosmetology License.
· Must provide proof of professional liability insurance.
· Responsible for individual tax reporting and obligations.
· Not eligible for employee benefits.
· Schedules based on guest demand, availability, and resort needs.
