Human Resources Specialist

A fast-growing compounding pharmacy is hiring its first People Operations Lead to build and own the operational foundation of a scaling People function. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you'll own the systems, processes, compliance, and infrastructure that support a growing workforce. You'll be responsible for ensuring payroll runs flawlessly, employee data is accurate, compliance obligations are met, and managers have the support they need to lead effectively. This role is ideal for someone who loves creating order from complexity, building scalable processes, and taking pride in operational excellence behind the scenes. What You'll Own Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Own end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution Manage benefits administration, enrollments, employee changes, renewals, and vendor relationships Conduct compensation benchmarking and provide market-based recommendations People Systems & Infrastructure Own and maintain the HRIS and People technology stack Ensure employee records, reporting, and dashboards remain accurate and audit-ready Build and maintain People Operations documentation, SOPs, and process libraries Drive continuous improvement across people systems and workflows Compliance & Policy Management Monitor employment law changes and ensure compliance across a multi-state workforce Maintain employee handbooks, policies, documentation, and retention practices Partner with external legal counsel and advisors as needed Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks Employee Lifecycle Operations Lead onboarding and offboarding processes Manage performance review cycles, probation reviews, and performance improvement workflows Support managers and employees on policies, benefits, leave, and employee relations matters Ensure a consistent and professional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle Department Operations & Administrations Manage HR vendors, recruiting partners, and service providers Track People team budgets and expenses Coordinate company-wide people programs, learning initiatives, and culture activities Support operational planning and execution for the People function Success in This Role: You’ll be measured on your ability to create a highly reliable People Operations function through: Payroll Accuracy Compliance Readiness On-Time Performance Reviews Process Adoption & Documentation Employee Experience & Operational What We're Looking For Required Experience 5–8 years of People Operations, HR Operations, or Human Resources experience Experience supporting organizations with 50+ employees Strong ownership of: Payroll Benefits Administration Compliance HRIS Management Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field PHR or SHRM-CP certification Experience supporting a company through significant growth HRIS implementation or migration experience Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) What You’ll Get Competitive compensation 401(k) with employer match Generous paid time off Paid holidays The opportunity to help build a People function from the ground up #J-18808-Ljbffr Loud Solutions
