Custom Electrical Services is a well-established, locally owned electrical contractor serving Iowa since 2005. Started by a master electrician and built by electricians! We specialize in residential service electrical work, with occasional light commercial projects, and we've built our reputation around quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and taking care of our team.

We're looking for licensed electricians who want something different from repetitive construction work?more variety, more customer interaction, and significantly more earning potential.

We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Residential Service Electricians throughout Eastern Iowa.

Live outside those areas? Apply anyway. Our service electricians can often work within the communities and territories where they live rather than reporting to the same shop every day. We are in a variety of markets throughout Iowa and Missouri!

As a Service Electrician, you will:

• Run residential service calls within your assigned territory
• Diagnose electrical problems and recommend solutions
• Present options directly to homeowners
• Complete repairs and installations
• Handle projects ranging from small electrical repairs to major upgrades and rewires
• Work primarily in residential homes with occasional light commercial work
• Build relationships with customers instead of working anonymously on a jobsite
• For many electricians, service work is also less physically demanding than traditional construction electrical work while offering substantially greater earning potential.

We offer multiple compensation structures depending on the position and experience:

Hourly Pay
100% by the hour (plus overtime)

Hourly Plus Commission (Our most popular option!)
100% by the hour Hourly Plus Commission (Our most popular option!)
Typical MONTHLY gross commisions range from $1,750 to $8,000 or more per month. Stong performance its some of the highwest wages in the industry!

Piece Rate Pay
Piece rate pay is a compensation system where workers are paid a fixed amount for each unit of work completed or task performed, rather than an hourly wage or annual salary.                                  Electrician have a GUARANTEED base pay so they are 100% compensated for hours worked but earn a percentage of the work they completed. UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL!
