Position Overview
Based out of Austin, TX, we are a global Defense and Space Manufacturing company experiencing an exciting time of rapid growth across all departments, which allows for tremendous career advancement opportunity. Due to growth, we are seeking a Financial Accounting Manager with supervisory experience to join our expanding team. 

The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with SEC reporting requirements and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports and ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
• Manage the financial accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting
• Public accounting experience
• SEC reporting and SOX compliance experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent
• CPA certification is a plus 
• Familiarity with government accounting and regulations, including FAR and CAS, is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related
