Part-Time Sr. Accountant

A growing real estate-focused organization is seeking a Part‑Time Real Estate Accountant (24 hours/week) to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. This hybrid role is based in Irvine, CA and offers flexibility while providing consistent, meaningful work across multiple real estate entities. This position is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys hands‑on responsibility and is comfortable working independently in a part‑time environment. Responsibilities Maintain general ledger accounting for multiple real estate entities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules Assist with month‑end and quarter‑end close processes Track and reconcile cash, bank accounts, and operating accounts Support accounting for leases, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings and external reporting Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or property‑based environments Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and month‑end close Experience with Yardi preferred but not required Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage work independently Ability to work part‑time on a consistent schedule in a hybrid setting Benefits The company offers medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
