Senior Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist with 3–5 years of experience to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Brand Director, this role produces the content that creates demand, supports the systems that deliver it, and uses the performance data behind both to determine what gets built next. Experience in a B2B marketing environment supporting a direct sales organization is strongly preferred.

This is a hands-on role. The same person will be reviewing Google Analytics and LinkedIn performance in the morning and drafting campaign copy and cutting short-form video in the afternoon. The successful candidate is comfortable both producing the work and defending the reasoning behind it.

This position supports marketing operations execution — email configuration, website updates, and day-to-day system support. Platform administration, integrations, and infrastructure decisions remain with TRG’s marketing operations and IT teams. The role requires close partnership with Marketing Operations, Brand and Design, Sales, and Sales Operations across TRG North America, TRG UK/Europe, TRG LATAM, and Inversion6.

Essential Functions

Content Development

• Generate content ideas grounded in performance data from Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics, and email engagement rather than assumption

• Support marketing content across formats, including social copy, email, web content, campaign assets, and sales-facing materials

• Produce and edit short-form video for social, campaigns, and events using CapCut or a comparable editing tool

• Maintain brand consistency across all content in partnership with the Brand and Design team

• Adapt content for audience, channel, region, and business unit as required

Marketing Operations Support

• Assist building and configuring email campaigns, including audience segmentation, templates, testing, scheduling, and deliverability checks

• Execute website updates and support ongoing site maintenance and content publishing

• Provide day-to-day system support across the marketing technology stack and troubleshoot issues as they surface

• Maintain campaign, list, and asset hygiene within marketing systems

Data, Analytics & Performance

• Use Google Analytics, email performance data, and campaign data to inform brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue-driving initiatives

• Track and report on the performance of campaigns, content, and trade shows, identifying what is underperforming and recommending specific optimizations

• Support the definition of KPIs and measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to pipeline and customer acquisition

• Build reporting and visualizations that non-marketing stakeholders can act on

• Test new channels, formats, and tactics, and document what the results indicate

• Use approved AI tools to support content development, analysis, and reporting efficiency

Sales Collaboration & Go-to-Market Support

• Work directly with the sales team to align marketing initiatives to sales objectives and support go-to-market strategy

• Contribute to lead acquisition strategy and maintain a clear feedback loop between marketing and sales

• Support trade shows and events, including pre-event promotion, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up and reporting

• Travel as needed to support events, trade shows, and in-person collaboration with the sales team

• Ensure marketing activities comply with applicable regulations and best practices, including data protection and privacy requirements such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA

• May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special projects or campaign initiatives

• Employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, demand generation, marketing operations, or a closely related role

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Demonstrated ownership of at least one campaign or program from planning through reporting

• Strong writing ability across short-form and long-form marketing content

• Ability to produce short-form video in CapCut or a comparable editor, including clean cuts, captions, and brand-consistent output; a formal production background is not required

• Working proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4) and LinkedIn Campaign Manager and analytics

• Hands-on experience building and configuring campaigns in a marketing automation or email platform such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot

• Comfort making website updates independently within a content management system

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including working knowledge of data visualization

• Familiarity with CRM data, ideally Salesforce, is desired but not required

• B2B experience and experience supporting a direct sales organization is strongly preferred

• Interest in AI and emerging marketing technologies, with a willingness to test and evaluate new tools

• Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the judgment to distinguish a trend from noise

• Demonstrates the ability to present recommendations to marketing and sales stakeholders and support conclusions under questioning

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to take and pass a background check

Performance Requirements

• Must maintain regular and reliable attendance to the satisfaction of management

• Must be able to work onsite four days per week at TRG's Cleveland, Ohio location

• Must be able to travel as needed to support events, trade shows, and sales team collaboration

• Must be able to operate a computer and other position related technologies

• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including during campaign launches and event schedules

• Must be able to clearly and confidentially communicate with TRG employees and other stakeholders

• Must be able to handle confidential marketing, customer, and pipeline information appropriately

• Must adhere to all TRG Values at all times

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time

• Must be able to access work locations, including event and trade show venues

• Must be able to stoop, stand, walk, bend, and stay upright to perform work

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during events and trade shows

• Must be able to lift and move event materials weighing up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to visually read written and digital information

• Must be able to visually determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned

• Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication
