Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Four 10-hour shifts per week with on-call requirements as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs prior to and during surgical procedures
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties
• Apply nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records in accordance with facility standards
• Participate in continuing education and meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated ability to use professional communication skills to manage conflict and contribute to a healthy workplace environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Operating Room or perioperative setting
• Familiarity with surgical workflows, sterile technique, and intraoperative patient care
